| In the summer of 2006, the government of Cambodia forced over 2000 families to leave their homes in the city of Phnom Phen. These families lived in their houses for over 15 years, and then in the name of development, were moved 30 miles outside the city in a location without clean water, a sewage system, or housing. Employment for adults and education for the children is now taken away because of the remote location which adds to their critical needs. The pending rainy season will raise the disease-infested water from ankle deep to 22 inches. Winners’ Team Partners recently sent a team to preach the gospel in Cambodia, and they visited this sight to survey the need. Now we are setting out to re-grade the area for drainage, install a water tower and proper sewage, build a community center for worship and for educating the children and adults. An orphanage has already been built to house the children of the community, who have no one to watch over them. In addition, we are setting out to build 1000 homes in this community.
