Mesa, AZ – (Aug 2008) – Winners Team Partners a ministry of Living Word Bible Church hosted their second annual Back to School Drive on August 9. 2008. We provided backpacks for low-income children in the surrounding community. At 8:00 am, hundreds of kids lined up outside the domes to receive a backpack filled with supplies and won cool prizes such as bikes and skateboards. Volunteer hairstylists offered their services and gave free haircuts to anyone who wanted one. Other local business and parishioners of the congregation had donated hundreds of backpacks and supplies to the event and we had one of the most successful Back Pack Drives in the Valley of the Sun.
